SureScan was engaged to perform an extensive ground-penetrating radar (GPR) survey at an airport to prepare for future infrastructure development to accommodate larger aircraft. The project began with the successful runway and concrete slab scans, allowing for incident-free core drilling with no underground services detected.
SureScan was asked to conduct concrete testing utilising our Schmidt Hammer on a series of columns and suspended slabs. The aim of the deployment was to assess and estimate the compressive strength and integrity of the concrete which exhibited discolouration and honeycombing.
