Providing Services Australia-Wide
SureScan was recently engaged by a client in NSW to complete a concrete compressive strength analysis, along a 2-kilometre stretch near Waterfall Train Station.
Limited quality assurance data was present, so we deployed our Schmidt Hammer to provide an understanding of potential strength. The hammer measures the elastic properties or strength of concrete or rock, with a focus on surface hardness and penetration resistance.
After methodical testing and analysis, the average estimated compressive strength of the concrete was determined to be 39.77 MPa. It’s important to note that these results weren’t cross-referenced with core compressive strength but were derived from established guidelines outlined in published literature.
