SureScan was asked to conduct concrete testing utilising our Schmidt Hammer on a series of columns and suspended slabs. The aim of the deployment was to assess and estimate the compressive strength and integrity of the concrete which exhibited discolouration and honeycombing.
The testing rescheme was set out by the client which nominated a test per 500mm interval on each face of the columns and a designated testing spot for the suspended slabs.
In-situ testing for concrete integrity on columns and slabs revealed the concrete, aged between 60-90 days, generally performs well in compressive strength evaluations, despite some irregularities such as honeycombing.
